Graveside services for James Berglund, 33, were conducted at the Anchorage Municipal Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Young of Christ Congregational Church officiating. Mr. Berglund died May 21 at Providence Hospital.
Born Feb. 9, 1953, in Bremerton, Wash., he had resided in Anchorage for the past seven years. He leaves his daughter, Blynda Aksdal of Port Orchard, Wash.; and one sister, Patty Randall of Bremerton, Wash. Service arrangements by Witzleben Funeral Homes & Crematory, Sixth Avenue Chapel.
So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Was not a close classmate of mine - - one of those nod-in-the-hallway type of deals. But I send sincere condolences to the family.
Jimmy and I grew up on the same street and spent many hours together when we were kids, playing and talking on my front porch steps. He will always be a great memory from my childhood. Rest in peace Jimmy.
