Lester Brown of Bremerton

Lester Anthony Brown, 52, of Bremerton died Thursday. He was born to Floyd and Margarete Brown in Hood River, Ore.  He attended West High School in Bremerton and married Gail Luethe in 1971.  He worked for Ace Paving, Associated Sand and Gravel and Service Fuel. He also owned and operated Sunrise Paving from 1985 to 1990. Mr. Brown was a member of Local No. 249 and Operating Engineers Local No. 302. He was also a member of West Side Baptist Church where he drove a Sunday School bus. He enjoyed backpacking, nature, chess, computers, animals and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Peter and his 4-year-old daughter, Melanie. He is survived by his former wife; his sons, Paul, Michael and Matthew Brown (Perrilla); his daughter, Hayley Jorstad (Hans); his sisters, Gloria LiSalle and Patsy Weber; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Bret Kasay and Hannah
